My dad adored nuts. He would store them in the refrigerator and take out a handful as he was leaving. I didn’t especially enjoy them back then, but as an adult, I do. Nuts are also healthy if consumed in moderation.

They make a terrific snack and are really addictive, but they also go well with salads and anything pumpkin. Later on in the post, more on that.

These Keto candied pecans are the ideal balance of sweet and savory, crunchy and crisp, and tasty and wholesome. I’m proud to introduce you to your newest go-to sweet treat.

Candied pecans were always my go-to movie theatre treat when I was little. The fact that the movie theatre was essentially the only place I ever visited that sold them had nothing to do with the fact that I liked them.

Candied pecans were the best food in the world in my opinion because of their warmth, sweetness, and crunch. Furthermore, they dangerously addictive!

A LOW CARB DIET AND WHY I LOVE PECANS

I’ve grown to enjoy pecans for low-carb or keto diets over the years. They have a lot of antioxidants, few carbohydrates, and are delicious in food. If you’re interested, check out this fantastic article on the top 10 health advantages of pecans. There are 190 calories and 1 g of net carbohydrates in only 1 cup of raw pecans. They are a fantastic alternative to pretzels when toasted or roasted.

In my strawberry jello dish, the pretzel crust is made from pecans, and I’ve also produced honey mustard-roasted nuts that have a pretzel-like flavor. Play experimenting with pecans as a low carb alternative when you want pretzels.

But unhappily, as I made the switch to a ketogenic and low-carb diet, candied pecans could no longer be my little movie theatre tradition since I could no longer consume the sugar that gave them their dangerously addictive properties.

But it’s precisely because of this that I am thrilled that there is now a keto-friendly alternative that is as delicious as my old favorite.

KETO CANDIED PECANS ONLY REQUIRE 3 INGREDIENTS TO MAKE!

I prepared these pecans without added sugar, but you could use ordinary brown sugar if you don’t mind the extra carbs. However, the three low-carb components are butter, raw whole pecans, and Swerve brown sugar. In reality, those are pecan halves, but you get the idea.

15-MINUTE SUGAR-FREE CANDIED PECAN RECIPE

These roasted nuts can be made in the oven, but the stovetop method is considerably simpler. With a sizable nonstick skillet, you begin. Whisk in the butter and Swerve brown sugar until thoroughly combined.

Then add the pecans and stir to evenly coat the nuts. You nuts will appear lustrous and beautiful. As soon as they begin to brown and you can smell them roasting, continue cooking them at a medium-low temperature while continuing to stir.

When they’re done, spread them out to dry on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Before eating, let them thoroughly dry.

THEY MAKE A DELICIOUS KETO OR LOW CARB GIFT

Giving these would be simple throughout the holiday season. Simply put them in a pretty bag or jar. Alternately, bag a few nuts and arrange them in a lovely holiday candy dish.

APPLICATIONS FOR CANDIED NUTS

I’ve been using these candied nuts for other things besides a sweet snack or dessert, though. I’ll be using these nuts in a salad for Christmas and topping a pumpkin dessert made in a slow cooker with them.

Therefore, these nuts would generally go well with any kind of cheese in a fall salad. It tastes wonderful on top of sweets made with pumpkin, such as pumpkin bread, pumpkin pudding, or pumpkin pie. Finally, give them a try in any pudding, yoghurt, or ice cream flavor. Naturally, you’d prefer low-carb versions of each of these.
