Magni has been providing world-class corrosion protection chemistry for customers in all industries since 1974. ​Magni coating technologies are specified by most major automotive OEMs throughout agricultural, energy, construction, industrial, marine, and military industries. All of Magni's technologies are chrome-free and meet the most stringent performance and regulatory requirements.

Magni 109 - Brake Rotor Coating

Magni 109 is a high-performance chrome-free coating – engineered for use on brake rotors – that provides sacrificial coating protection and will not spall on the braking surface. This inorganic, metallic film contains proven corrosion inhibitors and is applied in a single thin layer to protect against under-vehicle corrosion. Because its frictional output is similar to a bare rotor, Magni 109 can be applied to all braking surfaces.

Magni 111 is a chrome-free, black coating engineered for use on brake rotors and drums. This waterborne coating incorporates proprietary, inorganic pigments and other corrosion inhibitors, and provides good corrosion and heat resistance. Magni 111 is typically applied to a clean, dry component. Application is followed by a brief low-temperature cure or air dry.

Magni 112 is a chrome-free, water-reducible coating engineered for use on brake rotors and drums, and to meet the Honda HES specification. This single-coat system is black in color and is applied to clean, dry surfaces. Magni 112 is cured at 250° F and coated parts can be handled immediately after application. It is applied via spray methods.

Magni 118 - Brake Caliper Coating

Magni 118 is a chrome-free coating engineered for use on brake system components such as calipers. It contains an aluminum-pigmented organic topcoat applied over zinc plating. In addition to providing exceptional galvanic corrosion protection against aluminum and other metals, Magni 118 is available in a variety of colors. It is resistant to electrolytic and chemical perforation from automotive fuels and fluids. It is applied as a thin film that allows thorough and consistent coverage of complex shapes.

Magni 130 is a chrome-free, water-reducible coating engineered for use on brake rotors and drums. This coating is black in color and is applied to clean, dry surfaces. Magni 130 is a durable coating cured at 200° C and can be handled immediately after application.

Magni 140 - Brake Rotor Coating

Magni 140 is a high-performance, chrome-free coating engineered for use on brake rotors. This inorganic, metallic film contains proven corrosion inhibitors and is applied in a single layer to protect against under-vehicle corrosion. Since Magni 140’s frictional output is similar to a bare rotor, it can be applied to all braking surfaces. Overspray is also permissible to eliminate the need for masking and reduce application costs.

Magni 190 is a high-performance, chrome-free coating – engineered for use on brake rotors and drums – that can be applied on as-cast or machined surfaces. The bright silver appearance provides a refined, premium appearance. This inorganic, metallic film contains proven corrosion inhibitors and lamellar pigments, and offers exceptional cathodic protection in a single thin layer

Magni 234 is a chrome-free coating engineered for use on stainless and aluminized stainless steels and is typically applied to fabricated mufflers, resonators and tailpipes. It offers exceptional corrosion resistance, is applied to clean, dry surfaces and is oven cured.

Magni 235 is a chrome-free coating engineered for use on uncoated steel, aluminized stainless steel and cast iron materials. This coating offers exceptional corrosion resistance and withstands temperatures of up to 500° C; it is typically applied to fabricated mufflers, resonators, tailpipes, exhaust bezels and diesel engine after-treatment devices (ATDs).

Magni 236 is a hex-chrome free coating engineered for use on uncoated steel. aluminized stainless steel and cast iron materials. Offering exceptional corrosion resistance, Magni 236 is often applied to fabricated mufflers, resonators, tailpipes, exhaust bezels and diesel engine after-treatment devices (ATDs); this coating withstands temperatures of up to 600° C.

Magni 265 is a chrome-free duplex coating engineered for use on vehicle stampings and other structural components. Combining an inorganic zincrich basecoat with a high-performance organic topcoat, Magni 265 delivers exceptional corrosion protection on the interior and exterior of these structural components. Since it is applied after fabrication, Magni 265 provides excellent corrosion protection at the weld and heat affect area. Unlike conventional e-coat, Magni 265 will provide extended field protection, often allowing for use of thinner-gauge steel and lighter-weight components.

Magni 295 is a chrome-free, corrosion-resistant coating engineered for use on uncoated low-carbon steels; uncoated thin-gauge, high-strength steels; and uncoated ultra-high-strength steel components prior to application of electrodeposition coatings. This coating is typically applied to chassis and structural components and assemblies, stampings and other products requiring corrosion protection beyond standard e-coating.

Magni 336 - Fuel Tank Coating

Magni 336 is a chrome-free, highly conductive thermoset aluminum-rich coating engineered for use on automotive fuel tanks. A coil-coated barrier topcoat on both sides of zinc-nickel and galvanneal coated sheet steel, Magni 336 provides a level of fuel resistance that accommodates all OEM fuel blends, including flex fuels, and is highly corrosion and chip resistant.

Magni 501 - Fastener Coating

Magni 501 is a globally available chrome-free, inorganic zinc-rich corrosion protection coating engineered for use on fasteners and other metal components. An ideal replacement coating for zinc plating and trivalent passivation, Magni 501 is applied as a thin, paintable coat that provides exceptional corrosion protection in a single layer. The result is superior performance compared to conventional zinc plating.

Magni 504 - Fastener Coating

Magni 504 is a chrome-free, water-based coating engineered for use on stainless steel. Typical applications include nuts, bolts, screws and clamps. This coating features an inorganic/organic hybrid resin system that withstands automotive fluid resistance requirements and should be applied to thread-forming fasteners and other fasteners that require high lubricity. Magni 504 is often used on stainless steel fasteners to prevent galling during assembly.

Magni 510 - Fastener Coating

Magni 510 is a chrome-free duplex corrosion protection coating that combines electroplated zinc and hex-chrome-free passivation with a chrome-free aluminum-rich organic topcoat. Engineered for use on fasteners, Magni 510 is typically applied to nuts, bolts, screws and other hardware.

Magni 511 - Fastener Coating

Magni 511 is a chrome-free duplex corrosion protection coating that combines an inorganic zinc-rich basecoat with an organic topcoat and is engineered for use on fasteners, including nuts, bolts and other hardware. Magni 556 - Fastener Coating

Magni 556 is a chrome-free fastener duplex coating system that combines an inorganic zinc-rich basecoat with an organic aluminum-rich friction-modified topcoat. The inorganic basecoat system is developed for superior heat-resistant corrosion performance and consistent in-process material stability. The organic topcoat system can be adjusted to meet OEM friction requirements while providing outstanding adhesion, heated loosening performance and chemical resistance. Magni 556 can be applied via dip-spin or spray application methods. Magni 556 is applied in three layers in dip-spin (two layers basecoat) and is used in the most corrosive automotive environments.

Magni 556E - Fastener Coating

Magni 556E is a chrome-free, duplex-coating fastener system that combines an inorganic zinc-rich basecoat with an organic aluminum-rich topcoat with friction values targeted specifically to meet various European OEM standards. The inorganic basecoat system is developed for superior heat-resistant corrosion performance and consistent in-process material stability. The organic topcoat is engineered to provide outstanding adhesion, heated-loosening, and chemical resistance qualities. Magni 556E can be applied using dip-spin or spray. In dipspin applications, Magni 556E is applied in three layers (two layers basecoat). Magni 556 is used in the most corrosive automotive environments.
