Our Story
52 Years in poverty reduction
In 1970, fifty Filipino businessmen signed a Statement of Commitment and formed the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), an acknowledgement of the business sector's responsibility to the progress and development of the country. PBSP serves as the social development arm dedicated to the empowerment of the poor and self-reliance of communities.
Fifty years later, PBSP remains to be the country's largest business-led NGO at the nexus of corporate citizenship, sustainable development, and poverty reduction. We design and implement programs and projects on health, education, environment, and livelihood that uplift the lives of Filipinos in need.
