Using the shoe size converter

This versatile converter can be used to convert shoe sizes in all kinds of international standards. It can help you determine what your shoe size is in a variety of shoe sizing systems. Since some standards have different sizes for men's, women's, and children's shoes, you need to specify what type of shoe size it is. The supported standards include:

Women's to men's and men's to women's size conversions

Converting men's to women's or women's to men's size conversion is easy if one of the systems is EU, Mexican, Japanese, Brazilian, or cm, in, or MondoPoint (mm). Simply select the target shoe type, and then perform the conversion. E.g. to convert a European shoe size of 42 to a US women's shoe size, select "Women's", choose "European", select "42" and choose "US" as the output size to get the result (10 US).

However, conversion between men's and woman's and vice versa needs to be done in two steps if it is one of UK to US, US to UK, AUS to UK, UK to AUS, AUS to US, US to AUS, JP to US, US to JP, JP to UK, UK to JP, JP to AUS, AUS to JP. For, example, if you are a man with narrower feet you might want to to convert a men's shoe with a UK size of 7 to a US women's shoe size. On the first step, select "Men's", then choose UK size 7, and select "MondoPoint" as the output metric. The result will be 254 MondoPoint, or 254 millimeters. Then, select "Women's", choose MondoPoint and enter 254. For the output metric choose "US" to get the result: US size 9 (Women's).

While using the converter is typically easier and faster for most users, for your convenience, a comprehensive conversion table for adult shoe sizes is presented below. It can also be used to convert women's to men's and men's to women's shoe sizes.

To use the chart to convert a Men's shoe size 6 US to European size, simply look up "12" on the row labeled "USA & Canada, Men's", then look up to the cell value in the same column on the row labeled "Europe (EU)" which is size 44. Should you need a printable chart for a quick reference when you may not necessarily be online, the above table should be sufficient.

Since it is easy to measure one's foot length in inches or centimeters, converting that measurement to a shoe size is a typical task for which a shoe size converter may be used. First, take your measurement correctly as described below. Select if it is a men's or women's or children's shoe, then select 'Centimeters' or 'Inches' depending on what unit you measured the foot length in, and finally select the desired sizing system to see the corresponding shoe size.

For an example of cm to shoe size conversion, say a woman's foot measured 25.1 centimeters, then using the converter one can determine that the corresponding shoe size is 6 UK, 8.5 US, and 5.5 in Mexican units.

How to measure your foot length

The length of a person's foot is the distance between two parallel lines that are perpendicular to the foot and in contact with the most prominent toe and the most prominent part of the heel. To measure your foot, stand barefoot, distribute your body weight equally between both feet and have someone put two straight objects - one behind your heel and one in front of your lengthiest toe. Then use a measurement tape or ruler to measure the distance between the two.

With the measurement taken, use a foot size conversion chart or a tool like ours to estimate the corresponding shoe size.
