Monaco Tribune has compiled a list of the main events you must not miss in the Principality this month.

There’s no shortage of events in Monaco over the summer period. Monaco Tribune has selected some of the most important events in June for you.

Upaint

The Principality’s street art festival will be back from 4 to 7 June, on the Larvotto promenade. Featured along with MrOneTeas will be Hama Woods, Iena Cruz, Lord Anthony Cahn, Lula Goce, Martin Watson, Mon Devane, Ryslee, One Truth, Nils Inne, Stom500 and Woskerki. Together they will provide an open-air art gallery in the heart of the Principality for several days.

  • 4 to 7 June on the Larvotto promenade

Splash Party

Good news for young folk, the Splash Party is back again this year at the Stade Nautique Rainier III. If they are aged between 12 and 17, and either attending school or living in Monaco, youngsters will have access to the Stade Nautique swimming pool and its 5-metre diving board, as well as giant inflatables (including a slide), with music provided by a DJ and unlimited (non-alcoholic) drinks included.

  • Price for ‘plus ones’ from outside Monaco: €25

Top Marques

With supercars, vintage models, boats, motorbikes and jewellery, Top Marques will be taking place from 7 to 11 June at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. This year, a hundred or so exhibitors from all over the world are expected. Six worldwide launches are in store, as well as an auction – a first for the event. At the same time, Top Marques is organising a number of competitions, and for GMK fans: the influencer is an ambassador again this year, and will be on hand!

‘Rencontre des Sites Grimaldi’ (Grimaldi historic site forum)

The fourth edition of the Grimaldi Historic Sites of Monaco Forum will once again welcome former “fiefdoms” of the Grimaldi Dynasty. This year’s guests include: the Haut-Rhin region, with the towns of Issenheim, Altkirch Thann, Ferrette and Feldbach; the Lot-et-Garonne region, with Duras; the Pyrénées-Orientales region, with Prats-de-Mollo; as well as a number of municipalities in the Alpes-Maritimes, including Grasse and Île Saint-Honorat, and the Haute-Corse region, represented by Lucciana. Head over to the Place du Palais (Palace square) to discover a host of stalls in a festive atmosphere.

The “Prince at Home” exhibition

As part of the celebrations marking Prince Rainier III’s centenary, the exhibition will feature around a hundred stills and moving pictures that show us the work and personality of Prince Rainier III. This will take place in the State Apartments at the Prince’s Palace, where you will be able to observe the former Sovereign in his everyday life, both professional and personal, as well as reliving some of the palace’s high points during the 20th century. PhiloMonaco Week

The event, organised by the Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco (Monaco Philosophy Forum), is continuing its drive to make philosophy more accessible for the general public, with events taking place at different locations in the Principality: the La Condamine market, the Hôtel Hermitage, the Hôtel de Paris and the Yacht Club. The events will feature philosophers and other figures, with the aim of discussing the following subjects: ecology, education, healthcare, women and lifestyle. Monte-Carlo Television Festival

The television industry event will be back in Monaco from 16 to 20 June. This year, 18 programmes from 12 different countries are competing. There will be a fan zone at the opening and closing ceremonies, and fans will also have access to other events, including an exhibition of historic photos of the festival, public screenings of the programmes at the Grimaldi Forum, out-of-competition screenings and several selfie sessions with attending actors and actresses.

Fête de la Musique (Midsummer Music Festival)

On 21 June, the Principality will be buzzing all day with music! In the morning, the Musique Municipale band will play in Monaco’s neighbourhoods. In the early afternoon, children and families can enjoy an open stage, blind tests and dancinng games at the Princess Caroline Library. In the early evening, the La Condamine market will welcome the group “Suspicious Minds” for a US Rock concert (tribute to Elvis, Berry, Nat King Cole…). In the evening, the “Totalement 80” 80s tribute band will be performing on QuaiAlbert Ier from 8.30 pm.
