The City of Radford is a small independent city that has a symbiotic relationship with Radford University and its students. The city is home to 200 acres of riverfront and four main parks: Bisset, Sunset, Wildwood, and Riverview. Along with the flowing New River, these parks allow residents to take part in many outdoor activities, which help to keep the community close. Radford University
Not only isRadford University one of the most beautiful campuses in Virginia, but it’s also an excellent education opportunity in the heart of the NRV. This award winning university is a cultural hub for the City of Radford and offers Bachelor’s to Doctorate degree level programs.

The City of Radford’s walkable main street makes locally-owned restaurants, bars, and shops easily accessible. Grab a coffee or see a show at the restored Radford theater. Bisset Park
As Radford’s premier waterfront park, Bisset Parkhas it all. This beautiful park has courts, fields, and shelters for games and gatherings of any kind. Bring your own gear or rent from an on-site outfitters to get tubes, paddle boards, or anything else you might need to get out on the river.
